This system uses no muffler and is designed to use the factory catalytic converter. You can also choose to purchase an exhaust tip from us to complete the look.

MBRP systems are as much fun to install as to drive with on your truck. Bolt-on, no-weld design makes installing this on your truck a no-hassle one and half to two-hour project. With our MBRP brand etched on the tip and our unmistakable styling, there's no question that you have the hottest exhaust on the road - MBRP.

Straightforward Installation Instructions:

Removal of Stock System:
1. Loosen the nut on the band clamp located behind the catalytic converter using a 15mm wrench or socket.
2. If a hoist is being used for the installation, the original exhaust system can be removed in one piece by removing the passenger side shock. If a hoist is not being used the tail pipe must be cut behind the muffler to be removed.
3. Remove the muffler and tailpipe from the OEM rubber hangers and separate the stock exhaust at the slip joint located behind the catalytic converter and remove the muffler and tailpipe from under the truck. Re-install the passenger side shock.
4. Remove the catalytic converter by removing the two nuts holding the inlet flange together using a 15mm wrench or socket.
5. Remove the downpipe from the turbo by removing the band clamp using an 11mm socket. Retain the band clamp for the installation of the Down Pipe. Cut the downpipe in front of the transmission cross member to remove. (Note: The stock downpipe can be removed in one piece by removing the transmission cross member. It is recommended that this only be done by qualified, trained professionals using tools and equipment designed to safely carry out this procedure.)

Installation of MBRP Inc. Performance Exhaust:
1. Install the Down Pipe in the same position as the stock downpipe and attach the flared end to the turbo using the stock band clamp. Do not fully tighten until all components are in place.
2. Attach the Mid Pipe to the Down Pipe using a 3 ½” Clamp and place the hanger into the factory rubber insulator located on the frame.
3. Attach the 42\" Extension Pipe to the Mid Pipe. For Extended Cab Short Bed vehicles this is the only Extension Pipe required. For Crew Cab Long Bed vehicles you will require the full length of both the 32\" Extension Pipe and the 42\" Extension Pipe. For Extended Cab Long Bed and Crew Cab Short Bed vehicles the 32\" Extension Pipe will have to be cut. For Extended Cab Long Bed vehicles attach the two extension pipes and cut the 32\" Extension Pipe to a combined, attached length of 57 1/4\". For Crew Cab Short Bed vehicles attach the two extension pipes and cut the 32\" Extension Pipe to a combined, attached length of 55 1/4\".
4. Install the Muffler Delete over the Extension Pipe. Install the Hanger Band Clamp at the connection between the muffler delete and the extension pipe and install the OEM rubber hanger at this position. Install the “T” Hanger Band Clamp into the two OEM rubber hangers located above the outlet of the Muffler Delete. 5. Install the 4” Band Clamp onto the Tail Pipe and then connect the Tail Pipe to the Over Axle Pipe. Then from the rear of the truck, slide the assembly over the axle and attach to the outlet of the Muffler Delete. Install the tailpipe hanger into the OEM rubber hanger to complete. 6. Install the provided Clamps around the pipes where required. Starting at the front of the exhaust, add and tighten all clamps. Adjust the Tail Pipe and check along the whole length of the exhaust.

Customer Reviews:

*Best Upgrade for the Money -  5-Star  Although I bought the whole kit, I started out using the cat back pieces to see how that alone sounded. I could not believe how much the stock cat absorbed all the turbo sound. In my opinion, if you are doing a cat back system, with the stock cat, it's a waste of time and money. The turbo outlet is 3.5\" diameter, so going to a 5\" exhaust really has no benefit in my opinion. Increasing the stock downpipe from 3\" to 3.5\" is already a massive gain. From there, the kit increases the 3.5\" downpipe to 4\" which again is another massive gain. I installed this exhaust on my back with no lift, by myself.

*Great Product - 5-Star Well made, install could have been WAY easier with better directions and clearer pictures. Took me a little over 4 hours and I believe with a clearer set of directions it would have been more like 1.5 hours. Outside of that detail, its well packaged, arrived way earlier than promised and Im very happy with the product!

*I am very happy with my 4 inch turbo back exhaust on my 03 6.0 Powerstroke. The biggest difference I feel over stock is power. It's like now it's opened up to breathe, it can finally unleash all the power it was holding back before. And it sounds great too. If you like the whine of the turbo, this kit is what you want. At W.O.T. the growl of the 6.0 is like no other. Install was easy and only took a couple of hours.
